What to expect

Three things happen in your first session.

01

A full assessment

Garrett looks at how you move and what is getting in the way—not only the place that hurts.

02

Hands-on guidance

You move, breathe, and engage while Garrett builds and adjusts a precise physical setup around you.

03

A clear next step

You and Garrett notice what changed and what did not. Then you decide whether to continue, use Living Practice at home, or leave it there.

The session

Your $29 Assessment, step by step.

Fifty minutes total, private and in person in San Francisco.

01 Before you arrive

Wear something you can move in

Stretchy pants or shorts, a t-shirt or athletic top. Pants without belt loops if you can help it. Nothing else to prepare. Every prop you'll need is here.

02 About 20 minutes

The assessment

Garrett looks at how you stand and move, then pays attention to what changes as the body is given a different setup.

03 About 30 minutes

Hands-on guidance

Using movement, breath, simple props, and physical support when appropriate, Garrett guides a precise setup while you stay active in the work.

04 Last 10 minutes

What you leave with

You and Garrett notice what changed and what did not. Then you decide whether a longer practice, Living Practice, or neither is the right next step.

The Assessment is a real first experience.

Not a sales call, and not a promise of a particular outcome.

The work

You experience the actual hands-on guidance, rather than being asked to decide from a description or an exercise list.

The investment

What you notice

The work can create an immediate felt change. You and Garrett will pay attention to what changes, what does not, and what that means.

What's next

There is no series you are required to buy. You decide whether a longer practice, Living Practice, or no further work makes sense.

FAQ

The questions everyone asks.

How long is the first session, and what does it cost?

+

Fifty minutes, $29. It is a private, in-person visit in San Francisco where Garrett sees how you move, works with you directly, and helps you decide on a useful next step.

Can my first session be virtual?

+

The Assessment is in person because hands-on guidance is part of the work. Ask about virtual options if you cannot come to San Francisco.

What should I wear?

+

Comfortable clothes you can move in easily. Stretchy pants or shorts and a t-shirt or athletic top. Pants without belt loops if you can help it. No special equipment needed, we provide everything.

Do you take insurance?

+

We do not bill insurance directly. We can provide a superbill on request for you to submit to your plan if that is useful.

What if I need to reschedule?

+

If you miss an appointment, the session is considered used. We understand emergencies happen and review rescheduling requests case by case. To reschedule, we ask for 24 hours notice.

What if the first session doesn't work for me?

+

The Assessment is an honest first experience, not a guarantee of a particular outcome. You and Garrett will notice what changes, what does not, and whether continuing makes sense.

I'm not in good shape. Can I still do this?

+

Yes. You are not being tested on fitness. The work begins with the body and capacity you have that day. Tell us before booking if you have an acute injury, recent surgery, or serious diagnosis.

Do I need to be flexible?

+

No. You do not need flexibility or prior movement experience to begin.
